FI-H Self-Study Ground Training Programme

This self-study programme is designed to support candidates undertaking the Flight Instructor (Helicopter) – FI(H) training course.

The programme provides a structured review of the theoretical knowledge subjects relevant to helicopter flight instruction. Candidates are required to study the assigned video lessons and complete the associated knowledge checks.

The programme consists of nine subject areas:

  1. Air Law
  2. Aircraft General Knowledge
  3. Flight Performance and Planning
  4. Human Performance
  5. Meteorology
  6. Navigation
  7. Operational Procedures
  8. Principles of Flight (Helicopter)
  9. Communications

Candidates should complete all assigned lessons and knowledge checks as instructed by the course instructor.
